Kami Glass loves someone she’s never met … a boy she’s talked to in her head ever since she was born. She wasn’t silent about her imaginary friend during her childhood, and is thus a bit of an outsider in her sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale. Still, Kami hasn’t suffered too much from not fitting in. She has a best friend, runs the school newspaper, and is only occasionally caught talking to herself. Her life is in order, just the way she likes it, despite the voice in her head.

But all that changes when the Lynburns return.

The Lynburn family has owned the spectacular and sinister manor that overlooks Sorry-in-the-Vale for centuries. The mysterious twin sisters who abandoned their ancestral home a generation ago are back, along with their teenage sons, Jared and Ash, one of whom is eerily familiar to Kami. Kami is not one to shy away from the unknown—in fact, she’s determined to find answers for all the questions Sorry-in-the-Vale is suddenly posing. Who is responsible for the bloody deeds in the depths of the woods? What is her own mother hiding? And now that her imaginary friend has become a real boy, does she still love him? Does she hate him? Can she trust him (Goodreads).

My Thoughts:

“She likes someone she’s never met”, those words tickled me while i read it on Goodreads. My mind said that it is the story you’ve searched for. Besides, i love its cover 🙂

This book is full of secrets. Even those secrets aren’t supposed to be told. At the beginning, i didn’t understand the story. There’s Kami Glass who loves to investigate her town’s history. She thought she had an imaginary friend,Jared, before the Lynburns came back. He’s real.

After the family back, there are some murders in the town. it were animals at first, but then Kami’s ex-bestfriend was murdered. Even Kami was nearly dead before. Kami was told by people around her to stay away from The Lynburn, from Jared. Jared told her so before, but she can’t. She and Jared had been linked which made they share everything. There’s a thing that made them have the link. Is it true that The Lynburns caused those deaths? What they really are that makes people afraid of them? The secrets were revealed one by one each time you turn to the next pages. The secrets of the town. The secrets ot The Lynburns…

Dear Ms Brennan, i really love your The Lynburn Legacy. It’s such a fortunate to found this book. I love the way you plotted the story. Do you know whatelse that makes me love your book? The map!! And it’s, you made it (I don’t know whether it’s a real place or not), in England! 😀

Genre: Romance, Paranormal, Ghost, Young Adult, School – College, Fantasy

Alona Dare–Senior in high school, co-captain of the cheerleading squad, Homecoming Queen three years in a row, voted most likely to marry a movie star… and newly dead.

I’m the girl you hated in high school. Is it my fault I was born with it all-good looks, silky blond hair, a hot bod, and a keen sense of what everyone else should not be wearing? But my life isn’t perfect, especially since I died. Run over by a bus of band geeks—is there anything more humiliating? As it turns out, yes—watching your boyfriend and friends move on with life, only days after your funeral. And you wouldn’t believe what they’re saying about me now that they think I can’t hear them. To top it off, I’m starting to disappear, flickering in and out of existence. I don’t know where I go when I’m gone, but it’s not good. Where is that freaking white light already?

Will Killian–Senior in high school, outcast, dubbed “Will Kill” by the popular crowd for the unearthly aura around him, voted most likely to rob a bank…and a ghost-talker.

I can see, hear, and touch the dead. Unfortunately, they can also see, hear and touch me. Yeah, because surviving high school isn’t hard enough already. I’ve done my best to hide my “gift.” After all, my dad, who shared my ability, killed himself because of it when I was fifteen. But lately, pretending to be normal has gotten a lot harder. A new ghost—an anonymous, seething cloud of negative energy with the capacity to throw me around—is pursuing me with a vengeance. My mom, who knows nothing about what I can do, is worrying about the increase in odd incidents, my shrink is tossing around terms like “temporary confinement for psychiatric evaluation,” and my principal, who thinks I’m a disruption and a faker, is searching for every way possible to get rid of me. How many weeks until graduation? (Goodreads)

My Thoughts:

This is the first book of Stacey’s i read. When i first found it on Goodreads, see the cover and read the synopsis, i think that this book has a unique story (it’s not scary even though it’s about ghost. i don’t like horror) , humor, worth to be read.

Alona is the famous girl in her school, but unfortunately she was hit by school bus one day and dead. Her soul remains on earth. She found out that Will Killian, they said the gothic boy, can see her and the other spirit even touch them.

The longer she be with him, the more she knew why he always (i mean people think) acted strange, always put the earphone on his ears, and she finally knew his problem. The other story of his life. And so did Killian, he finally knew her secrets. There are some imperfections in her perfect look.

To me the story is simple, but entertaining, amusing. I love the say Stacey write this book with the dual character point of view because I’d love to know the boy’s feeling :D. i love the romantic part too. Well, maybe it’s not usual that a human and a ghost fall for each other, but with a really good writing skill can create a good, really good sense of their emotion while i read it. i like it
