Once unmasked, can beauty love the beast?…

My name is Lena Seagull. I should still be in school, hanging out with friends, meeting boys, falling in love—just like you. But on my eighteenth birthday my father sold me. Now, those are yesterday’s dreams.

My home is now a remote castle. And the man who owns me? I have never seen him.

Guy Hawke keeps his face hidden under a mask. At first, I knew only fear, but now his voice and touch make me unashamedly want him. Each night, his hired help blindfolds me, and takes me to his room. He whispers that I am beautiful and we have wild, torrid sex. When I awaken he is always gone.

He and his castle hold dark secrets that I must unravel, but what he fears most—being unmasked—is my deepest desire.

Will either of us survive the consequences of my desire? (Goosdreads)

My Thoughts:

it feels like i went back to 80s or 90s while i read this. It is the mix of classic and modern story. Or i can say it is the modern of Beauty and The Beast. I knew the end of the story like this, but I still read it carefully. I follow the plot where it took me because it doesn’t mean that i know what will happen next to the characters. I love the way the author wrote the story, you’ll find the thriller, the mystery, and the romance in it. What i love the most about this book is it feels like I became Lena while I read it. The emotions were real to me. Thanks, Georgia 🙂

Operational Wedding

Language : Bahasa Indonesia

Produced: 2013

Genre: Romance, Humor, Fiction

Recently, I’ve been watching Indonesian movie called Operational Wedding. Although it is about relationship and marriage, but mostly it told about father and abour sisterhood. I want to talk about those 3 points.

First, let’s talk about the relationship. In this movie, there are 4 girls with each ot their boyfriends. the oldest named Tara with her boyfriend, Feri. Then, Vera with herman, Lira and beni, and Windy with Rendi. The relationship between Tara and Feri is the main problem in this movie that caused another problem to her sisters, especially Windy. feri is afraind about commitment. He is a marriage or maybe divorcement attorney I think. Because of his clients cases, he scares that his marriage would be end, too. Just like them.

At first, the boyfirends wanted to propose their girl but when Feri found out that Tara is pregnant, he refused it, he didn’t admit it was his child and left her. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding that caused her father assumed Rendi did it. Then it comes to second point, sisterhood.

Tara is jealous to Windi because she is the daughter who loved the most by their father. Tara felt her life suffered, their mother died because giving Windi’s birth (please correct my grammar for this sentence). She said she never been happy because of her (gosh..). In my opinion, Windi suffered the most. She’d never felt her mother’s love, like her sister. She’d been bullied by her sisters when she was a kid, but Vera and Lira didn’t do it anymore. And she almost lost her boyfriend because Tara didn’t say anything about the true father of the child.

And finally, we come to the last point. As a father, it’s a man duty and his instinct to protect his children (it became worst when the children are girls). You may see that the father is overprotecting because i thought so, too. Besides, he was a lieutnant (Wasn’t he?). and i know what made him do that to his girls. He doesn’t want to lose them like he lost his wife. Sure every fathers wants his girls get a good husband. Someone who loves her, someone who protects her. That was just the acts that he loves them, the daugthers.
